Operation Taking Back 901 We are dedicated to empowering through transformative economic and educational programs. On February 12, 2016, I started the group with only small plans.

Our mission is to break cycles of disadvantage by equipping individuals with the tools, knowledge, and support needed to thrive. But God saw different and manifest those in need with many blessing. The team is made up with family & friends. And believe it or not, we are growing in numbers. As you may know, crime is high along with poverty in our community. So we are taking a stand & becoming foot soldiers.

Yesterday, Operation Taking Back 901 had the privilege of hosting our UpliftHER: Becoming HER Life Skills & Confidence Session at the Cornelia Crenshaw Memorial Library, and our hearts are full of gratitude.

A special thank you to Memphis Public Libraries for opening your doors and providing a welcoming space where young ladies could learn, grow, and build confidence. Your commitment to serving our community makes opportunities like this possible.

We also want to extend our sincere appreciation to the Joint Office of Neighborhood Safety & Engagement for your continued partnership and investment in creating positive opportunities for youth and families across Memphis. Together, we are building stronger communities and brighter futures.

To our participants, families, volunteers, and supporters—thank you for making this session so special. Watching these young women engage, encourage one another, and embrace their potential reminds us exactly why this work matters.

I had the incredible opportunity to teach financial literacy to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office Explorer Program and invest in the next generation of leaders.

We talked about the importance of budgeting, saving, building credit, making smart financial decisions, and understanding that wealth starts with knowledge and good habits. Financial literacy is a life skill, and I’m passionate about equipping our youth with the tools they need to create successful futures.

Thank you to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office for the invitation and for your commitment to developing young people through leadership, service, and education. Together, we’re helping build confident, prepared, and financially empowered young adults.

We are grateful for the opportunity to serve teen parents through “Youth Advocacy Program” in partnership with Shelby County Alternative School! This walk is very personal to our Founder/CEO Arieale Munson. She was once apart of this program 21 years ago. What was once her hard work, became her HEART work! 💙
