Jim & Carol Crowder, 6380 Thistle Point Cove, (Bartlett), (F/B/N), 12 pm - 6 pm
Carol and Jim Crowder live with their daughter and husband, Christy and Daniel Depoister. Jim spent 50+ years in the lawn and garden business, then he and Carol retired and stole the yard from their daughter. In the backyard, you’ll find Water Lilies and Lotus grown in containers. A tropical paradise surrounds the pool with Palms, Calla Lilies, Cannas, Alocasias, Bamboo, colorful vines, and his turtles. Around the east and south, you’ll find a wide variety of perennials and annuals. Jim likes to test new varieties and push the limits of hardiness. On the west side is the display garden. Now 3 years old, it contains many annuals and perennials. This garden can’t be seen from the house. It’s for the enjoyment of those who pass by and for the pleasure of two old gardeners to work in. Join Jim every Saturday morning for Mid-South Gardening on KWAM AM 990 or FM 107.9. Podcasts are available on the KWAM website or Spotify. Plus, join Jim’s Facebook group ‘Gardening Across America in USDA Zones 6,7&8

Challenged with an odd-shaped lot, no topsoil, and a hardpan layer at 12”, Harriet has done a remarkable job in creating both sun and shade gardens. Repurposed items are utilized in an imaginative manner in this unique garden
