✨ Chi Chi Chi Chapter showed up and showed OUT! ✨
This week, we had the incredible honor of pouring into the next generation of nursing leaders at the Mid-South Nursing Student Summit at Christian Brothers University. Connecting with these bright, passionate student nurses reminded us exactly why Education, Service, and Sisterhood are at the core of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Incorporated.
💚💛 Our vendor table became a hub of inspiration as we shared the rich history and powerful legacy of Chi Eta Phi, Inc. We encouraged students to take advantage of our chapter’s Nursing Scholarship
because investing in their future strengthens the future of nursing itself.
And the excitement didn’t stop there. Other vendors were so captivated by our mission and professionalism that they expressed interest in learning more and joining the Magnificent Memphis Chapter. The ripple effect of our presence was truly felt.
What a beautiful day of connection, empowerment, and recruitment. The work continues, and we’re just getting started.

🖤Black History Month🖤

Today we celebrate Mary Eliza Mahoney, a trailblazing figure as the first professionally trained Black nurse in the United States, whose determination and perseverance paved the way for future generations. She courageously entered spaces that were not designed for her, yet her legacy shines brightly, embodying excellence, dignity, and purpose. Her impact reminds us that nursing encompasses not just a profession, but leadership, resilience, and compassion.

November: National Diabetes and Diabetic Eye Disease Awareness Month

November marks National Diabetes Month in the United States, a dedicated time to raise awareness about diabetes, its prevention, and effective management. It is also recognized as Diabetic Eye Disease Awareness Month, underscoring the serious vision-related complications that can accompany diabetes.Individuals living with diabetes face a significantly higher risk of developing sight-threatening conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and cataracts. Despite these risks, recent studies reveal that awareness remains low among populations disproportionately affected by diabetes. This lack of knowledge leaves many Americans vulnerable to preventable vision loss.In response, the American Academy of Ophthalmology urges all individuals with diabetes to take proactive measures to safeguard their eyesight.
Regular eye examinations, early detection, and timely treatment are essential steps in reducing the risk of diabetes-related vision impairment and preserving long-term eye health.
