What a GREAT week at the county fair!
I’m so thankful for the opportunity to bring my Community Service Initiative, BRCA: Breaking Risk Creating Awareness, to the fair and share why BRCA awareness is so important. This week wasn’t about the booth, the recognition, or the prizes! This week was about starting conversations, sharing information, and helping people understand the importance of knowing their family history. Every conversation, every question, and every person who stopped by reminded me why I started BRCA. If even one person leaves with a little more knowledge about their health and family history, then this week was worth it. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, supported my initiative!!

This is INCREDIBLE! My BRCA: Breaking Risk, Creating Awareness booth has won 1st Place at the Gibson County Fair. This is such an incredible honor, but this was never about the prize. My CSI booth, BRCA: Breaking Risk, Creating Awareness, was created with one goal in mind: to educate, spread awareness, and help others understand the importance of knowing your family history and your genetic risk. The real win is every person who stopped by, learned something new, and walked away more aware of BRCA. THAT is why I do this.

So grateful to celebrate 250 years of America! I loved sharing about my Community Service Initiative, BRCA: Breaking Risk, Creating Awareness, and the Miss America Opportunity, and how both give me a platform to serve, lead, and make a difference in my community.

Where do I even begin? I am heartbroken and so sad to see one of my biggest inspirations pass. Dolly made such a huge impact on my life and on the lives of so many others. To me, she truly embodied what it means to be a servant leader. She led with kindness, gave generously, and used her platform to lift others up. Honestly, Dolly could have been Miss America because she represented so much of what that title stands for: service, leadership, compassion, and making a difference. One of the greatest things she taught us is that you don’t need a crown or a sash to make an impact. You don’t need a title to serve others or change lives. Her legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched and the kindness she inspired. Thank you, Dolly, for showing us what it truly means to serve. You will be so deeply missed.
