This is what it looks like when Memphis shows up for its teachers! 📺🍻 Last week, Teach901 hosted Abbott After Hours at Wiseacre OG, a night of drinks, Abbott Elementary trivia, and the Season Premiere on the big screen, all to celebrate the educators who pour into Memphis students every single day. 🍎

Nights like this are made possible by people who believe Memphis teachers deserve to feel seen, appreciated, and supported. When you give to Teach901, you’re helping recruit, celebrate, and keep great educators in Memphis classrooms. 💛

A big thank you to Wiseacre for hosting and showing our educators so much love!

Want to be part of the next one? Support Teach901 through Give901 and help us keep celebrating the people shaping our city’s future. 🙌

Meet 2026 Shainberg Scholar Zalena Torya Walker! 🎓 Growing up in North Memphis, Zalena saw beautiful buildings sitting vacant and knew she wanted to be part of the change. At Crosstown High School, she found room to step outside her comfort zone and express herself, and by her junior year, she knew exactly what she wanted to do. Now entering her junior year at TSU, she's studying to become a developer who creates affordable, sustainable homes for low-income families.

The Shainberg Scholarship, made possible by the Shainberg Family and Give901, helps Choose901 Alumni close financial gaps on their path to college, trade school, or certificate programs.

Meet Stephanie Hayes, a 2026 Shainberg Scholar. 🎓 A Soulsville Charter School grad now entering her senior year at Tennessee State University studying nursing, Stephanie's path traces back to watching her late father's hospital stays and a psychiatric nursing clinical that showed her the power of compassionate care. She's set on becoming a psychiatric nurse who makes mental health care more accessible in underserved communities, and she's already living that mission as a Choose901 Alumni Outreach Intern. As a first-gen college student, this scholarship is a recognition of her hard work as she preps for the NCLEX and her future.

The Shainberg Scholarship honors Herbert Shainberg's legacy of generosity, funded by his grandchildren to support Choose901 Alumni pursuing college, trade school, or certificate programs.

Congratulations, Stephanie! 👏 Click the link to read Stephanie's full story ➡️ https://bit.ly/4dlq6sM

Grizzlies Prep is getting a teachers' lounge makeover! 💙 The Design Besties, the national team behind The Teachers' Lounge Movement, are bringing their wellness-focused transformation to Grizzlies Prep next month. Worn furniture and flickering lights are getting replaced with a space built to help educators recharge, plus a brand-new student space, a first for the movement.

Great teachers pour into our kids every day. Investing in the rooms where they recharge is investing in every student they show up for. Want in? Businesses can explore sponsorship opportunities, and every gift, big or small, helps bring this space to life for the teachers at Grizzlies Prep.
