Good News Soccer Academy We are a Christian, non-profit soccer academy aiming to spread the Gospel through soccer

The game of soccer can be extremely expensive, excluding many players who have the talent and desire to play but lack the financial resources to do so. The Good News Soccer Academy provides high quality coaching at highly reduced costs or free of charge to families in the Memphis, TN metropolitan area and around the world. We accomplish our goal of spreading the Gospel through soccer utilizing the

following avenues:

1) One day clinics
2) Multi day camps
3) Building fields within underserviced neighborhoods

Good News Soccer Camp year #4 is in the books! Had a great (but hot!) day of playing, and finished up our study of Parables by talking about what truly defiles us - not what we put into our mouths but what comes out of our mouths. It all flows from the heart (Matt 15: 10-20)! Also, we were blessed to donate a lot of school supplies for the wonderful kids at Red Door as well as provide a snow cone truck! What a great camp it was!

Great day #3! The weather held off yet again and we got another good session of dribbling in- learning the scissors and inside/outside chop. Kyle brought a great message on the parable of the sower (Matt 13:1-23). What kind of soil is your heart? Are you able to understand your need for a Savior? Praying for fertile soil in the hearts of all of these precious kids!

Love these kids! Day #2 in the books. Had a great afternoon of soccer- worked on passing. More importantly, we continued our study of parables, reading the story of the prodigal son. How important it is to REPENT of our sin to the person we harmed but also to God the Father. We are so thankful for Jesus, who is the only mediator between God and man (1 Tim 2:5)! No one can save themself, we are all sinners (Romans 3:23) in need of a savior!

Day 1 in the books! The weather held off and it was a beautiful day! We learned about dribbling and played sharks and minnows- a fan favorite! Most importantly, we discussed the first of the four parables we will go over- The Pearl of Great Value (Matt 13:45-46). Being with Jesus in His Kingdom is the most valuable thing of all! Looking forward to the rest of the week!

Super excited for year #4 of the Good News Soccer Camp at the New Horizon Apartments in the Whitehaven community in Memphis! We’ll be on site June 16-20, 2025. Please join us in prayer, that Christ will be magnified in all that we do, and that hearts will be softened and receptive to the good news of the gospel! Oh, and a little soccer fun as well!

Had a great time at Central Church tonight with some small sided games for the kids! A big thank you to the members of the University of Memphis Men’s soccer team for giving their time as well. The gospel was preached, and we pray that God was glorified through every word and deed.

This photo says it all! What a great final day of camp! These kids were engaged, kind, and ALWAYS wanting to help me set up and clean up. What a joy to be around! We finished our discussion on gifts/talents speaking on the giver of the gifts (God the Father) and how He gave us the ultimate gift by sending his only son to die on the cross for our sins. Soli Deo Gloria! Can’t wait for next year!
