On World Sickle Cell Awareness Day, we raise awareness, advocate for equitable care and honor the strength of those living with this inherited blood disorder.

Hope is growing as new advancements in gene therapy are creating potentially curative treatment options for eligible patients, bringing us closer to a future without sickle cell disease.

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated honors Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day, as an historic moment in American history. On June 19, 1865, news of the Emancipation Proclamation finally reached the last enslaved individuals in Galveston, Texas, marking the true beginning of freedom for all.

We proudly recognize the efforts of our own trailblazing Soror, Opal Lee, the “Grandmother of Juneteenth,” whose unwavering advocacy helped make Juneteenth a federally recognized holiday in 2021.

Today, we celebrate emancipation, reflect on our ancestors’ strength and resilience, and recommit to the work of advancing justice, equity, and unity. Through education, action, and solidarity, we move closer to a world rooted in true freedom for all.

Hailey, a Spring ’24 initiate, has faithfully served our chapter for the past two years. She is graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Social Work, and we are incredibly proud of all she has accomplished.

Soror Pickett and Madam Basileus Sakura had the honor of attending the 91st Regional Conference alongside our brothers of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., held April 9–12 in Detroit, MI. 💙✨ During this impactful experience, the women of the Omega Delta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, proudly represented excellence, scholarship, service, and sisterhood.

Throughout the conference, they participated in business sessions and workshops focused on strengthening leadership and building our chapter to even greater heights. Under the leadership and vision of our Great Lakes Regional Director, Soror Keisha D. Smith, the conference was both empowering and inspiring, reminding us of the power we hold as women of Zeta.

We are especially proud to share that Omega Delta placed 1st in the Scrapbook competition 📖🥇 and 2nd in Z-HOPE 💙🥈—a true reflection of our dedication and commitment to our principles.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this experience unforgettable. We remain committed to doing the work and bringing back knowledge that will continue to elevate Omega Delta!
