One more day! Tomorrow night we honor Laramie Wheeler of Just City. 🎉

Laramie moved to Memphis in 2011 to study music. In 2020 she joined the movement for Pervis Payne and started sitting in Shelby County courtrooms as a Just City court watcher. Today she is on staff at Just City, where she has run the Memphis Community Bail Fund and now advocates for better conditions inside the jail.

Families call The Arc Mid-South when they don't know which facility a loved one is in or whether anyone is giving them their medication. Laramie works inside that system.

Laramie, we can't wait to celebrate you tomorrow night!

Tomorrow night, we get to honor Leah Williamson of Family Voices of Tennessee! 💙

When Leah's oldest son was identified with profound hearing loss at age 3, she worked her way through the services and supports her family needed. Then she made it her work to help other parents find them, first at Family Voices of Tennessee and also at Disability Connection Midsouth, where she wanted to expand her understanding of resources and access for adults living with disabilities.

Leah, thank you for making sure other parents don't have to figure it out alone!

We're proud to honor Rev. Dr. Keith Norman of First Baptist Church Broad and Baptist Memorial Health Care at this Saturday's gala! 🏆

When Rev. Dr. Norman became Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church-Broad in 1999, the church had fewer than 100 members. Today it has over 5,000. He has led more than $20 million in capital projects in Binghampton, including an event center that serves people who are homeless. The annual community benefit of the church and its development corporation, BRACED, has passed $3 million.

Thank you, Rev. Dr. Norman, for 27 years of building up Binghampton.
