In light of Children’s Mental Health Awareness, the Legacy of Legends CDC Champions League wants every student to remember one thing — real champions speak up, check in, and take care of their mental health.

Being a champion is not just about grades, sports, or showing up looking sharp in your Champions gear… it’s about building confidence, resilience, leadership, and learning how to handle life’s challenges in healthy ways. 💙

Our coaches are here to remind our students that it is okay to ask for help, take a reset, express emotions, and support one another like a true team. Every conversation, every check-in, every encouraging word, and every moment of growth matters.

At Legacy of Legends, we are building more than students — we are building future leaders, game changers, and resilient young people who know their voice and mental wellness matter.

Grateful to welcome the Joint Office of Neighborhood Safety & Engagement to the Legacy Resilience Hub for a site visit. Being able to show the real, on-the-ground impact of prevention, wraparound support, and community connection means everything.

Then to have our second site visit with the Women's Foundation for a Greater Memphis
to plan our upcoming partnership event ... it’s the alignment of things. 🤞🏽

We’re excited to kick off another powerful summer as Legacy of Legends is officially listed as a City of Memphis City of Memphis Office of Youth Services MPLOY Business Partner! 🙌

This is an incredible opportunity for young people to gain paid work experience, build real-world skills, and step into their purpose.

📍 Must be a City of Memphis resident

Officially in the second year as a recipient of the Safer Communities Grant through the City of Memphis awarded via Mayor Paul Young & the Joint Office of Neighborhood Safety & Engagement.

This citywide investment—totaling $600,000– supports nonprofit organizations across Memphis that are committed to cultivating safe, resilient communities.

Through this continued investment, funds will be directed toward another year of through the Legacy Resilience Hub, strengthening trauma-informed, community-centered supports for youth, families, and neighborhoods we serve.

Congratulations to all of the organizations selected. We look forward to working alongside our partners across the city as we remain committed to progress, collaboration, and meaningful impact. 💪🏽🤘🏽
