An affirmation is a positive statement, a solemn declaration, or a clear assertion that something is true. We must affirm our young people and re-affirm them and teach them to affirm themselves and not live into any negative narrative that has been written.

We’ve come a long way and there is more work to do, these young people are ready and committed!!!

If you’re not pouring into a young person, inspiring a young person, motivating a young person, leading a young person, being a positive role model for a young person or helping a young person navigate life and reach their goals……..then you’re missing out on a fulfilling life! Memphis’s youth are on fire! They are showing up Saturday after Saturday and they are working hard to achieve their goals! The drivers license program is in full force and our young people are going for the gold!

1 Corinthians 19:6 (NIV) because a great door for effective work has opened to me….

We greatly appreciate Principal Julius Blackburn and Family Engagement Specialist Katrina Boswell for this opened door and partnership between Hope Activated and Kirby High School!!!

This will be an amazing school year for our young people!

It was good to see one of our mentees who has graduated from Melrose High School and is on her way to MTSU!

Ridgeway Station Community Outreach was present with the same goal in mind. We are excited to be a part of this village!

We were excited to have some of our mentees to come by to pick up their suits from our Dress For Success Day held earlier this year! We tied neckties and put on cuff links.

“When you look good, you feel good. When you feel good, you play good. When you play good, they pay good”

We are so proud of these young men! From left to right: David is entering the 11th grade, Zauntari is starting his senior year and Daniel is starting college at UofM!
