The PRP of Long Island are a group of people wanting to promote the advancement of other Puerto Ricans through networking, advocacy, and a positive presence in the community. Since communities of Puerto Ricans seem to be non existent on Long Island, here is a way for us all to find each other, create friendships, and

help each succeed through contacts. Let's show everyone that we have come a long way to break down stereotypes and to advance in the workplace and society.

As Puerto Ricans enter their eighth week of lockdown during the coronavirus pandemic, new data shows that as many as a quarter-million of them may not have a safe home in which to shelter because they were improperly denied housing aid after Hurricane Maria.
