Friends of the Melrose Public Library The Friends of the Melrose Public Library, Inc., is a volunteer organization that supports and promotes the Melrose Public Library.

The Friends promote the Melrose Public
Library and develop additional funding for library activities, events, materials, and supplies that improve the facilities and services of the Melrose Public Library and that enrich the cultural opportunities available to the citizens of our community.

Happy ! We invite you to join the Friends of the Melrose Public Library by making a gift to support our beloved library this week (October 18-24).
The Friends of the Melrose Public Library is a 501c3 nonprofit organization, run exclusively by volunteers, and 100% of every donation made goes directly to the library!

Last year, the Friends were able to support year-round and special summer reading programs, Hoopla checkouts, the Children's Museum pass, and the ONLY publicly accessible copy machine in the City of Melrose! Hint: it's inside the library!

The Friends are accepting donations again! Please drop off your gently used books, DVDs, and CDs (no dictionaries, textbooks, or coloring books) in the large bin to the left of the main circulation desk when the Melrose Public Library is open. Thank you!

Stop by the book sale and get ready for summer reading (or get a last minute Mother’s Day gift)!

The Friends of the Melrose Public Library is hosting the spring book sale Saturday 5/9 from 10am-4pm in the lower level meeting room at the !

Grab some books and get some merch to show your love for our library- the book sale is one of the biggest fund raisers for the year! Funds raised help purchase audiobooks, fund programs, and purchase many of the items used at the library 📚

Shop the sale and support your library!

Our storage room is overflowing! Please DO NOT DONATE any books, CDs, DVDs, or other items to the Friends until after May 18, when we will gratefully accept your donations.

And don't forget to shop our annual spring book sale on Saturday, May 9 from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. at the Melrose Public Library.
