We had a great day performing at the Statehouse today as Governor Healey welcomed Melrose High alumni Frantzdy Pierrot back to Massachusetts as he prepares to play in the World Cup! The band played some music for the crowd and welcomed Frantzdy and Governor Healy to the stage with our Pregame music! Go Melrose and Go Frantzdy!

Proud of our concert Band! The group received a Bronze Medal at MICCA after a successful performance, and received a wonderful clinic from Dr. Thomas McCauley from Montclair State University. Congrats on a great night MHS Concert Band!

🎵For the first time in years, the MHS Concert Band will be performing at the 2026 MICCA Concert Festival on March 27 at Danvers High School. This is an exciting new opportunity for our high school musicians! Friends and family are invited to attend. The MHS Orchestra performs as well. Details below...

🎻Melrose Orchestra - 5pm
🎺Melrose Concert Band - 6:30
🏆Awards - 9:30
🎟️Tickets: $10 for adults and $5 for seniors/students. Cash or checks made payable to MICCA will be accepted at the door.
🍕Concessions available.

The schedule is similar to a marching band competition, with each school performing in a 30 minute time slot and multiple schools performing over the course of the festival.
