The Victoria McLaughlin Foundation would like to thank Ernie Boch and the Music Drives US Foundation for awarding our organization a $3,690 grant for the purchase of all new music and recording equipment for our Band Gig Program. Band Gig was initially started with a grant from Music Drives US in 2009. This program allows Melrose Public School Students the opportunity to play in a Rock N Roll Band, record music and play to live audiences. Over the past 4 years dozens of kids and bands have rocked to live audiences at the Hard Rock Cafe in Boston, Fusion in Foxboro and in front of 900 fellow students at The Melrose Center for the Peforming Arts.
