Fighting for Black Lives in Our Neighborhood - Melrose is having a virtual open house on Thursday, February 8 at 7 pm. This meeting is an opportunity for people who are interested to learn more about the group’s anti-racism work. We will recap work done in 2023 as well as take a look at the year ahead. There are several opportunities to continue anti-racism work in Melrose and to strengthen the connections we have made with groups in neighboring cities.

which runs the Old South Meeting House and the Old State House in Boston, will be premiering a new play at the Old South Meeting House called "Phillis in Boston." It will tell part of the life story of 18th century Black poet Phillis Wheatley. It is written by Ade Solanke, an award-winning Black British playwright.

The play opens on Friday November 3rd and runs through December 3rd. You can read more information and purchase tickets on their website!
