This is a photo from the Keep Melrose Beautiful Community Cleanup Day on June 6th.

Pictured from right to left are Don Deleire of Congress Insurance Agency; Joe Ben-David, Ed Schmitt, KMB volunteers; City Councilor Chris Park; a clean up volunteer; Tom Middleton of Zero Waste Melrose; and City Councilor Jason Chen.

Keep Melrose Beautiful distributed cleanup supplies, provided a light breakfast, and greeted Melrose residents who had signed up. Over 50 sites in Melrose were chosen for clean up by eager participants. We want to thank all the Melrosians who came out for their generous gift of time and effort to help keep Melrose Beautiful and Clean.

Others who gave in different ways include: Piantedosi Bakery Company for bagels; State Representative Kate Lipper Garabedian, an enduring sustainability champion; Jeana McNeil, Sheri Quaters, Tom Middleton and others at Zero Waste Melrose who always support Melrose and KMB; Garden Remedies Cannabis and Northern Bank for their generous donations; Don Deleire of Congress Insurance Company for logistical efforts ; the Melrose Conservation Commission and DPW.

It truly takes a village!!

Thank you from the Keep Melrose Beautiful volunteers!

Millions On Cleanup—Zero on Litter Prevention! 🗑️

Join us at the Massachusetts State House on March 3 for a legislative briefing about our efforts to establish a Massachusetts Litter Prevention & Cleanup Task Force. We’ll outline the case for why our state needs to take long-overdue action to PREVENT people from littering our beautiful landscape, as well as creative new ideas to maximize resources to clean up what’s already out there.

📍 Where: State House Room 428
🗓️ When: March 3, 1:30-2:30 p.m. (we’ll have the room from 1-3, so feel free to stop by early)
🗣️ Who: Anyone who is fed up with the mess in Massachusetts!

Please reach out to your state representative and senator and ask them, or a designee, to attend.

Learn more about this initiative at www.keepmassbeautiful.org/LAL.
