¡Gracias a nuestra increíble comunidad por acompañarnos y apoyar nuestra Kermes este pasado sábado! Su generosidad, solidaridad y apoyo nos recuerdan el poder que tenemos cuando nos unimos. Latino Unity Day 26'

PASO estuvo presente en Springfield el pasado miércoles durante el Día de la Unidad Latina. Estuvimos hablando con nuestros oficiales electos sobre la importancia de programas como HBIS. Especialmente cuando hay presiones económicas, como la del presupuesto de este año, es cuando tenemos que preocuparnos por el bienestar de las personas mas vulnerables. Debemos asegurar acceso a cobertura medica para todos.

PASO was present in Springfield last Wednesday for Latino Unity Day. We were talking to elected officials on the importance of programs like HBIS. Especially when economic pressures arise, such as those surrounding this year's budget, we must prioritize the well-being of the most vulnerable members of our community. We must ensure access to healthcare coverage for all.

Last week, as part of activities in Springfield, the Healthy Illinois Campaign was joined by coalition members from PASO - West Suburban Action Project, Illinois Workers in Action, Arab American Family Services (AAFS), Worry Free Community, Access Living among other supporters in advocating for HBIS to be fully funded and reopened for enrollment. All seniors living in Illinois deserve health coverage.Thanks to Representative Barbara Hernandez for meeting with us and pledging her support for HBIS funding.
