Every October 24th, the world marks World Polio Day, and this year Rotary District 5810 is honoring it with a district-wide Polio Walk fundraiser to raise awareness and support the fight to end polio for good. Melissa Rotary Club is proud to take part as Team Melissa, joining fellow Rotarians across North Texas in this effort, as together we walk the final steps toward a polio-free world. We're also excited to announce that Melissa Rotary Club will be celebrating our End Polio event on November 14th with a Chili Kick-Off and Raffle — so save the date, with more details to follow soon!

Want to help Melissa package thousands of meals? Comment “HOPE,” and we’ll keep you informed.

On March 6, 2027, our community will work together through Rise Against Hunger.

Volunteers will measure ingredients, fill packages, weigh meals, seal bags, and prepare boxes for shipment. You won’t simply donate to something—you’ll personally help make it happen.

This is service you can see, hear, and touch.

What a celebration—and what a wonderful evening of community!

The Melissa Rotary Club was proud to support our fellow Rotarian, Jerry Song, as Texas Republic Bank celebrated two years in Melissa, 135 years in banking, and America’s 250th anniversary.

We enjoyed hot dogs, sandwiches, prize drawings, a bounce house for the children, and plenty of fun and fellowship. It was the kind of evening that reminds us how fortunate we are to live and serve in a community where local businesses and neighbors truly support one another.

Congratulations to Jerry and the entire Texas Republic Bank team. Thank you for investing in Melissa and making us feel so welcome!

Neighbors, churches, businesses, students, and community organizations will come together to package nutritious meals for people facing hunger around the world.

It’s called Melissa Packs Hope, and our goal is simple: turn one day of service into thousands of meals and countless reasons to hope.

The Interact Club of Melissa kicked off the new school year by participating in the annual Chalk the Walk event at Melissa High School. Club members spent time creating colorful and encouraging sidewalk messages to welcome students and staff back for an exciting year of learning, growth, and achievement.

The event provided a wonderful opportunity for Interact members to demonstrate their commitment to service and school spirit while helping create a positive and uplifting atmosphere for the first day of school. We were also delighted to have Ms. Hare join in the fun, adding her creativity and support to the project.

Thank you to all of the Interact Club members and Ms. Hare for helping make Melissa High School a welcoming place for everyone. We look forward to a fantastic year ahead filled with service, leadership, and community involvement!
