The Members of the Citizens on Patrol (C.O.P.) and MCPAAA hosted the Melissa Police Department for Floats for Forces (Ice Cream Sundaes and Floats) on September 24 and 25, to let the Melissa Police know how much we appreciate them. MPD you are the Best--Heroes to the max! Thank you for what you all do to keep our city safe!

We even shared with Fire Chief Nix! 😜

Seven of our MCPAAA Members attended the Texas CPAAA State Convention from Sunday-Wednesday in Allen, Hosted by Garland. It was extremely well-organized by a Team headed up by Garland's Dorris Murdock, Texas CPAAA VP-State Convention.

Our Members who attended the State Convention the past few days have had a very enlightening and entertaining time at the Convention, learned a lot about a myriad of topics from the speaker presentations, plus a lot about making fundraising easier, and will report on much of it at the August Membership meeting.

We had a great time at City of Melissa’s Sparks and Spangles firework show last Friday!

We were able to pass out coloring books and crayons, cookies and stickers to those that came by our table!

Our Citizens on Patrol group was able to show off their new uniforms while conducting bag searches upon entering the stadium and helped officers patrol around the event!

A great time was had by all! Thank you to everyone who participated in this event!

Congratulations Officer Buckley! Job well done!

Congratulations to Sergeant Buckley on graduating from the 150th School of Police Supervision through the Institute for Law Enforcement Administration (ILEA)!

This intensive four-week leadership program prepares first-line supervisors for the transition from street policing to leadership, with a focus on professional supervision and effective management.

We are proud of Sergeant Buckley's commitment to continued learning and leadership!
