Meet Jennifer “Jenn” Morgan, our Career, LinkedIn & Resume Coach Mentor! 🤍

💼 Profession: Senior Talent Acquisition Partner, Human Resources at Abbott Laboratories

Jenn Morgan has been a mentor to professionals and students for the last 15 years ranging in career development, resume advice, transition to college advice, strategic development in corporate settings in talent acquisition and more. She has a passion to help develop others to reach their full potential in different life stages. She believes that everyone has a reason for where they are at today, where they want to go tomorrow, and she helps them remember "the why" to complete the journey.

Jenn will help our Debs & Gents build essential career-readiness skills, including creating a polished LinkedIn profile, showcasing their accomplishments, building professional connections, and learning the dos and don’ts of maintaining a positive professional presence online. These skills will help prepare our students for college, internships, and future career opportunities!

✨ A DAY OF LIFE SKILLS, LEADERSHIP & LEGACY ✨

This past Saturday, our Debutantes & Gentlemen of Distinction of South Brevard gathered at the beautiful Eau Gallie Yacht Club for an incredible day of Life Skills & Professional Development!

Our students learned from an exceptional group of accomplished professionals:

💻 Cathy Poulos — Guidance & Student Development Leader, helping students develop the personal skills and confidence needed to navigate their next chapter.

🔐 Marie Hutchins — Life Skills Technology & Security Instructor and founder of CareersFoundry & Cyber Stewards, teaching digital footprint management, cybersecurity awareness, and professional technology use.

💼 Jennifer Morgan — Career & Professional Development Leader, Talent Acquisition Partner and Certified LinkedIn Leader, teaching networking, resume presence, LinkedIn strategy, and modern career etiquette.

🍽️ Jacqueline Whitmore — Etiquette Leader and Founder & Director of The Protocol School of Palm Beach. An internationally recognized author, speaker, and executive etiquette expert, Jacqueline shared her expertise in hospitality, entertaining, business manners, social customs, and elegant communication.

💰 Kaori Suzuki Fischer — Life Skills Financial Instructor and Financial Advisor with Edward Jones, teaching financial literacy, budgeting, responsible decision-making, and the foundations of financial independence.

Meet Rae

Sorority Recruitment Coach | Hospital Pharmaceutical Sales

Rae brings a unique blend of professional experience, personal insight, and a genuine passion for helping young women navigate the exciting next chapter of their lives.

A proud mom of four daughters, Rae understands firsthand the importance of confidence, character, connection, and having the right guidance along the way. She and her husband, Daryl Darby, have been married for 25 years, and their family proudly carries a three-generation tradition of sorority women—making Rae’s experience especially meaningful as she mentors our future leaders.

"Last week, I had the privilege of watching something very special come to life at Serene Harbor, our first-ever Summer Camp for teens! While much of our work focuses on domestic violence prevention and intervention, we know that building a future free from violence begins much earlier. That means giving young people the knowledge and tools to recognize, build, and maintain healthy relationships in every area of their lives.
Healthy relationships aren’t limited to dating or intimate partners. They include friendships, family relationships, relationships with classmates and teammates, and even the relationship we have with ourselves. Learning about communication, boundaries, respect, trust, empathy, and conflict resolution helps teens develop skills that can positively impact them for a lifetime.
I am incredibly proud of our team for creating a safe, engaging space where teens could learn, connect, ask questions, and have fun. And I am deeply grateful to everyone who helped make our inaugural Summer Camp possible: our dedicated staff, community partners, guest speakers, supporters, and, of course, the teens and families who placed their trust in us. A special thank you to the generous individuals, businesses, and community partners who donated supplies, resources, funding, and other support for the camp. Your generosity helped turn an idea into a meaningful experience for these teens and demonstrated what is possible when our community comes together to invest in young people. Our Class of 2027 Dress for Success event at the Tortoise Island Clubhouse was an absolute triumph! ✨🎓

This specialized workshop was all about preparing our debutantes and gentlemen of distinction for college and professional life, covering everything from interview attire and first impressions to professional presentation, networking, wellness, Greek life, and campus leadership.

A massive thank you to our incredible leaders who shared their expertise with our students:

Dr. Vanessa Dance (Board-Certified OB-GYN & Dress for Success Leader) — Taught appropriate attire for specific settings, helping students navigate professional, casual, and modest wear with confidence.

Dr. Vanessa Johnson (Dermatologist at ShadeTree Dermatology & Wellness Leader) — Focused on personal care, skin health, building confidence, and authentic self-presentation.

Adam Copenhaver (Gentlemen’s Mentor) — Guided our young men on seasonal dress codes, mastering necktie and bow tie knots, using a tie as an icebreaker for networking, and looking sharp on a budget.

Rae Bain (Greek Life & Campus Leadership Leader) — Unpacked the ins and outs of university recruitment, Greek life social structures, and stepping into campus leadership while staying true to one's values.

Investing in the future of our leaders starts with equipping them with the polish, confidence, and knowledge to succeed anywhere they go! 💫💼

What an incredible turnout for our Class of 2028 Informational Session this past Tuesday at the Eau Gallie Yacht Club! ⚓✨
