This cart looks so simple to us, doesn't it? Yet in a small town in Ethiopia it is a means of income to support a family and elderly in their community!!! From our director there, "This week, we bought a cart for a poor man to start a business of transporting goods. He can work in Shone town and earn money to feed his family and support elders in the community." As we get more support, we help more and more people of the Bete Israel communities to help themselves, by providing a helping hand of something they could not afford on their own, to get them started!

9 of the 133 destitute Bete Israeli children in rural a Southern Ethiopia village that we are feeding breakfast everyday, provided shoes to , and are building a school for ( while employing the youth there) for them to get an education and have more options in life! The building continues as funding is provided!

UPDATE FROM ETHIOPIA: We are so grateful for your support that enabled us to execute many projects starting from feeding destitute children to construction of kindergarten. These are lists of projects we have implemented since the time of the Charity organization establishment.
1. Women’s Economic Empowerment Project (WEEP).
2. Orphans and vulnerable children support project (OVC)
3. Supply of clean and safe drinking water to rural people
4. Technical training for youths and creating jobs.
5. Construction of kindergarten.
6. Distribution of food grain for elders and very poor families.
At present, we focus on construction of kindergarten and establishment of widows to create their own micro-business. We bought a heifer for a widow and mother of seven children (pictured) and two sheep for a widow and single mother.

"We are grateful to Hashem for the generous gift from brethren to lay the foundation for kindergarten builing for these Bete Israel children that we are now feeding daily! By His will, we will start construction when winter season passes. We will buy a soil brick making machine (pictured below) to build class rooms and a dining room. In addition, the houses of many elders are destroyed due to bad weather and termites and need to be repaired." quote from our director in Ethiopia. Also, a kind donor provided for shoes for these children! It is these donations that enable us to continue meeting basic needs for these precious Bete Israeli children!

We are feeding 120 destitute children and send money for sponsored orphans in other areas. All of them are in need of school supplies for the new school year in September. The Scripture says that is a secret of happiness to support needy people. It is true, because we have practiced it in life. Also over 320 households are in need of water filters from Gafat community (the forgotten Jews in central Ethiopia).

"We fed over hundred destitute children and distributed 100 water filters for marginalized communities in Central Ethiopia, in 3 villages in Misrak Badawacho Woreda (district) . We are so grateful for your generosity to feed and avail clean and safe drinking water to this community. The need is too much but we give priority for protection of this community from water borne diseases and pray to get additional water filters as soon as possible. THE STOMACH PAIN OF CHILDREN HAS BEEN ELIMINATED AFTER DRINKING WATER FROM THESE WATER FILTERS! This is a report we get from their families after using the filter for a month."
