On December 8th at 7 pm local time, families gather to light candles and participate in a special memorial ceremony honoring their beloved child, grandchild, or sibling.

You’re invited to attend one of the hundred formal candle lighting events or participate in quiet remembrance alongside your family at home. Whether with others or in private, you’ll join thousands of families in creating a wave of light to remember the children forever loved and forever missed.

Of all the things
I never wanted to tell you,
Goodbye was never
supposed to be one of them

Your death came too soon
and left me with a heart
full of pain and sorrow

I never did say goodbye
to my boys I always said,
“see ya later”

Goodbye is too permanent

The hard part is not
knowing how long “later” is

Wondering if you really
can survive those deep
dark days of grief
much longer

In that deep despair you
somehow feel lifted

Feeling warmth and hope

Looking forward …
No longer looking back

Talking to Heaven each day
Never saying goodbye

Until we meet again …
Hello to Heaven

Siblings have a unique relationship with one another. They often are the witnesses of important milestones in their growth and development. They can be confidants, protectors, and partners amid life’s challenges. When a sibling dies, surviving siblings’ lives are forever changed. Siblings feel the pressure of the loss in many ways. Siblings may feel pressure to take care of their parents, to be strong for others in the family, or to fill the void left by their sibling. They often feel that a piece of them died when their sibling died. Visit our website to connect with other bereaved siblings.

Can you feel me when
I think about you?

My thoughts reaching
you in the Heavens,
carrying whispers of
love and longing …

Each time I think of you,
it’s as if a piece of my heart
reaches out ~ touching yours,
to remind you that you are
cherished and never forgotten

I miss you
I love you

Until we meet again …
