Workshop begins on March 7th: Rather than follow a commercial pattern, participants will design their Tote based on how it will be used, what it needs to carry, and how it should function and wear over time. Sewing is the tool, but creativity, intention, and problem-solving drive the process.

Metal Rose Class

Come take a class in making a rose out of aluminum sheet metal, brass rod, and potentially other metals.
Skills you’ll learn include:
- Metal shop safety,
- Layout,
- Straight and curved cutting,
- Power sanding to dress edges,
- Hammer texturing,
- Heat annealing,
- Forming/sculpting the petals, and
- Demonstrations in lathe machine work.
Due to the limited number of tool sets we have, this class is limited to 5 students.
When: Saturday - Jan 31st, 12pm-6pm

Want to give back to the Makerspace?

The Makerspace only exists because of volunteers because we all are volunteers.

We can always use more people helping at the Open Houses.
You don't have to be an expert, just willing to give tours and pass along what knowledge you have. We have specific needs in Arts and Crafts, Sewing, and Metalworking.
