Medical Associates of Brevard - Infectious Disease is hiring Part time - Medical Assistant

$18/hour

Hours: Monday 12-4
Tuesday 11-5
Wednesday- 11-5
Thursday 12-4

Job Duties: must be willing to cross train for receptionist.
- Room patients, take and document vitals, verify, and document medication list & allergies. Previous experience as a medical assistant, and prior authorization is highly preferred. Gather all the required results, physicians notes and other necessary, medical information prior to patients scheduled appointment.

Situation: Patty Rock, LPN and Program Manager of the Eastern Florida State College Medical Assisting Program, will be retiring this summer.

Background: Since 2000, Mrs. Rock has shaped the lives and careers of hundreds of medical assistants in Brevard County. Through high‑quality education and her example of professionalism, integrity, and compassion, she has set a standard that continues to influence the healthcare community.

Assessment: Mrs. Rock is highly deserving of a special celebration recognizing her decades of dedication and her impact on medical assistants across the county.

Recommendation: All former and current students, faculty members, clinic practice managers, and anyone who would like to wish her well in her retirement are invited to attend an OPEN HOUSE in her honor, hosted by some of her former students.
