Our mission is to reinvent the general perception of women in STEAM fields while inspiring interest in STEAM for young women nationwide.

Our team has made the decision to postpone this year’s gala to February 2027.

Unfortunately, there were too many competing events during the originally scheduled weekend of the Space Gala that ultimately pulled already limited funding and other resources away from our event.

This is not a decision that we made lightly, and we understand it leaves many in our community disappointed. However, we wanted to fill a room, like we always do, with incredible, impactful, and empowering women across the industry, and with so many overlapping events it has become impossible for us to make that happen during our originally planned dates. We know this decision affects more than just the event, and we’re deeply sorry for the disruption this creates.

As attendees, we want to make our event a positive and impactful experience for you. We know that you’ve already secured your spot and we hope that you’ll continue to support us as we move to a new date.

We're so excited to bring some of the space industry's top female leaders to this year's Space Gala, and is exactly that!

Kendra Rice Parlock is Co-Founder and Chief Revenue Officer of Space Phoenix Systems, where she is helping build the commercial and partnership ecosystem for the emerging space economy. An accomplished executive and innovation leader, Kendra brings more than two decades of experience building and scaling businesses, leading high-performing teams, and bringing together industry, government, capital, talent, and technology to create new opportunities. Her career spans global companies including DuPont, W.R. Grace, and Cabot, Baltimore City government, where she served on the Mayor’s Cabinet as Director of the Mayor's Office of Sustainable Solutions, and NPower, where she held national executive leadership roles advancing tech workforce development, public sector growth, and strategic partnerships.

Across these diverse roles, Kendra has built a career at the intersection of innovation, economic growth, and opportunity—turning emerging ideas into scalable strategies and organizations. Today, she brings that experience to space, working with commercial customers, governments, international partners, investors, and industry leaders to accelerate the development of the infrastructure and markets needed for a thriving orbital economy.

A two-time Maryland Top 100 Women honoree and Modern Industrialist recognized by the Baltimore Museum of Industry, Kendra serves on the boards of iMentor Baltimore and the Fort Meade Alliance and was appointed by Governor Wes Moore to Maryland’s Equitech Growth Commission. She is also Past Chair of the Women United Executive Council of the United Way of Central Maryland. A Baltimore City resident and passionate advocate for the next generation of leaders, Kendra is a graduate of the World Trade Center Institute Bowe Fellows program, holds an MBA from Michigan State University and studied biology and chemistry at the University of Florida and Wright State University. Kendra co-founded Space Phoenix Systems with her husband, Andrew Parlock.

was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 1972 in recognition of her contributions to the field of medicine.

She was one of 75 women invited to the Vellore interviews and gained her graduate training in medicine at the Christian Medical College. These accomplishments all before a spinal injury disabled her and she began to use a wheelchair. She started the rehabilitation institute in 1966 and greatly contributed to Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

We're excited to welcome Jacqueline, a new Special Guest, to this year's Space Gala!

Jacqueline Feldscher is the managing editor of Payload, and author of Polaris, Payload's weekly space policy newsletter. Previously, she was the senior national security correspondent at Defense One and the national security and space reporter at Politico, where she wrote Politico's weekly space newsletter. She’s a graduate of Boston University, and holds a master’s in journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.

We're so excited to bring some of the space industry's top female leaders to this year's Space Gala, and Ami is exactly that!

leads the Thermal Engineering team at Varda Space Industries, which is responsible for in-house heat shield manufacturing and thermal management of their reentry capsule, satellite bus, and pharmaceutical payloads. Prior to Varda, Bhavsar worked on structural, dynamics, and thermal analysis of turbomachinery of various aircraft for Honeywell Aerospace. Her background is mechanical engineering with a concentration in heat and mass transport.
