For more than a decade, Keith Donald has studied homelessness, listened to our neighbors’ stories, and brought partners together around a belief: everyone deserves a place to call home.
As founder of SteadyTown, Keith has been a critical partner to Providence Place, helping turn that belief into action. As project manager for Providence Place, Keith has guided planning, financing, design, and partnerships to bring this 120-unit supportive housing community to life.
Together with his wife, Keri, Keith has invested time, talent, leadership, and resources in a vision that will change lives for decades. Humble and persistent, he remains focused on the people who will one day walk through those doors and finally have a place to call home.
Thank you, Keith, for your extraordinary dedication to our neighbors, your partnership through SteadyTown, and your unwavering commitment to the mission and future of Providence Place.
Join us in celebrating Keith’s lasting impact!

A historic gift. A brighter future.
Thank you, Community Foundation for Brevard, for your extraordinary $350,000 gift to Providence Place! The Foundation’s Board of Directors unanimously approved the gift, bringing Providence Place within less than $1 million of its $18.5 million construction goal.
Your generosity brings us closer to opening 120 supportive apartments in July 2027, providing neighbors experiencing homelessness with a safe home and the support to thrive.
Together, we’re building pathways to stability.

Providence Connects is deeply grateful to Brevard Health Alliance for partnering with us to bring an integrated vision of housing and health care to life at Providence Place.

When Providence Place celebrates its planned grand opening in July 2027, future residents will have access to deeply affordable supportive housing and comprehensive onsite health services. Brevard Health Alliance will also provide primary medical care, behavioral health services (including treatment and support for mental health and substance use concerns), dental care, vision services, and pharmacy access, bringing essential care directly to the place residents call home.

Together, we are building more than a building. We are creating a community where residents can access the housing and health care they need to heal, grow, and thrive.

We are deeply grateful to Pam and Bill Blackstone for believing in the Providence Connects mission and the life-changing promise of Providence Place.

What began as a love for Brevard County grew into a lasting commitment to its people. The Blackstones chose to invest in a future where neighbors facing homelessness can find not only safe, supportive housing, but also dignity, stability, connection, and hope.

Providence Place stood out to the Blackstones because it addresses an urgent need with a practical, evidence-based solution—one with the power to transform lives for decades to come.

Although Bill passed away before seeing this community completed, his spirit will be present within it. The community kitchen at Providence Place will bear his name, honoring a man who brought people together through food, fellowship, and care.

Thank you, Pam, and thank you, Bill, for your generosity, your compassion, and your belief that meaningful change happens when people choose to become part of something bigger than themselves. Your legacy will live on in every resident who finds a place to call home at Providence Place.

Why did John and Pat Bowen say “yes” to Providence Place?

For the Bowens, their connection to Brevard County began with a simple drive across the Pineda Bridge. They found a community they loved, built a life here, and eventually saw something they couldn’t ignore: too many neighbors were living without a place to call home.

So when the opportunity came to invest in a meaningful solution to homelessness, they said yes.

✔️ They said yes to the cause.

✔️ Yes to the belief that everyone deserves a safe, stable place to call home.

✔️ Yes to Providence Place.

Now rising to its third of four levels on Apollo Blvd, Providence Place will bring 120 supportive housing units to neighbors experiencing chronic homelessness—building a foundation for stability, dignity, and new beginnings.

And the Bowens are not alone.

Providence Place is becoming a reality because individuals, businesses, foundations, healthcare organizations, and community partners across Brevard have chosen to believe in this cause and invest in a lasting solution.

Every solution needs believers.

If you believe our community can do more to address homelessness, there is a place for you in this story.

Our Outreach Team is on the front lines every day, meeting people where they are and walking alongside them with compassion, dignity, and hope. That’s why seeing Providence Place rise from the ground is especially meaningful. During a hard hat tour of the construction site yesterday, our team got a firsthand look at the future home of many of the individuals they serve every day. For them, this project is more than bricks and mortar—it’s the promise of stability, support, and a path forward. With every wall that goes up and every milestone reached, we move one step closer to welcoming our first residents home in Summer 2027.
