Our Philosophy:
No Limits Academy believes that God has created all things. We believe that God has prepared beforehand, great things to work out in the life of every individual (Ephesians 2:10). We seek to draw out and nourish the full potential of every student by providing an environment of holistic care and growth. We believe that God’s Spirit works powerfully in the lives of those who love Him. There is no physical, mental or emotional disability that can impede the work of God’s Spirit. We believe that God does not limit His power based on physical attributes (Mark 10:27). We are humbled (Philippians 2:10) to know that every life has limitless potential in God’s plan (Philippians 4:13, Ephesians 3:20). No Limits Academy considers every student to be a vibrant, purpose filled individual, deserving respect, love and encouragement (1st Thessalonians 5:9-14). The Bible teaches that parents are not only responsible for the upbringing of their children, but also that they should be honored for that authority (Ephesians 6:1-3). No Limits Academy is a parent friendly school. We seek to honor parents by nourishing the student’s understanding of Godly authority. The Bible teaches that a true leader serves others (Matthew 18:1-4, 20:26-28). Our teachers believe that every student is important and worthy of our service. Every student is an individual, having specific needs and a specific style of communication. Our teachers are responsible to recognize these individual traits and provide a learning environment that encourages mental, emotional and physical wellbeing. We also believe that technology is a blessing that allows our students to cross physical boundaries. Every student is given the resources to creatively express themselves and grasp knowledge. In this environment, our teachers help every student to understand that they are valued by God and fully capable of achieving academic excellence.

What does a day in the life of a Therapeutic Educator actually look like? 💙

This is Gayle's seventh school year at No Limits Academy, and she says she loves being a Therapeutic Educator because she gets to watch her students communicate, grow, and exceed the expectations others may have had for them.

She believes deeply in what we do at No Limits Academy because she has experienced firsthand how the right educational environment can change a student's motivation and sense of empowerment.

And her hope for this school year?
That her students continue developing the communication skills they need beyond the classroom, to communicate complex needs and feelings, tell their doctors what's happening in their bodies, talk with their families, and participate in social situations.

Because communication isn't just about answering a question in class. It's about having a way to tell people what you need, how you feel, what's happening, and what's important to you.💙

And yes… this particular day happened to be her birthday, so you may notice a birthday hat making a few appearances along the way! 🎂🎉

What happens when communication, therapy, and education are intentionally connected throughout the day? 💙

For Tommy, it means having opportunities to communicate while he learns, moves, explores, participates in therapy, and learns alongside his classmates.
It means offering choices in speech and in the classroom.
It means meeting his needs through sensory experiences and movement.
It means supporting neural development through positioning and hands-on learning.
It means creating opportunities for social development by learning together.
And through all of it, his Tobii Dynavox eye gaze device stays accessible.

When therapy is embedded throughout the day, the goal isn't simply to complete a therapy activity. It’s to create access so the student can participate, communicate, learn, and succeed!

That success looks like a simple message from Tommy:
“I am happy.” 💙

We’re grateful to Tobii Dynavox for the tools that help support communication access for students like Tommy, and we’re proud to share what AAC can look like when it’s truly integrated into Therapeutic Education.

Kinda chic to be a Therapeutic Educator. ✨

Because apparently it’s kinda chic to…
💬 See communication everywhere, not just in spoken words.
🧠 Build AAC into the entire day, not just the moments when communication is the “lesson.”
🪑 Change a student’s position because access matters.
🎨 Turn a sensory need into an opportunity to learn.
👐 Find a way for every student to experience the lesson.
💛 Follow the student when the plan changes instead of assuming the learning has to stop.
👀 Look beyond the behavior and ask, What is this student telling us?
🤝 Create opportunities for students to communicate with each other, not just the adults around them.

And maybe most importantly…
It’s kinda chic to stop asking, “How do we get this student to participate?”
…and start asking,
“What can we change to create access?”

Because being a Therapeutic Educator isn't about finding one perfect way to teach. It’s about knowing your students well enough to recognize when the approach needs to change and having the tools to change it.

Our favorite moments happen when everyone gets to be part of the fun. 💙

During morning worship, our students aren't just watching from the sidelines. They're singing, making music, moving, connecting, and participating alongside their friends, TAs, and teachers.

And sometimes, participation looks like a tambourine. 🪇
Sometimes it looks like holding onto a parachute and helping lift it up and down.
Sometimes it looks like a big smile from underneath it all. 💙
These moments matter.

They came to perform… and ended up getting the whole school dancing. 💙🎶

We were so excited to welcome Hope In Every Beat back to No Limits Academy!

Bella and Gabby started by sharing their dance with our students. Then came the thank-you, the smiles, the “I love yous,” and eventually… the chance for our students to learn the dance themselves.

Bella and Gabby broke down the moves step by step, invited the students to try them, and then the music started.
And they danced. 💃🕺

Some students followed the movements.
Some participated with their voices and AAC devices.
Some communicated their excitement in their own way.
And everyone had an opportunity to be part of the experience. ✨

That’s what we love about moments like this.
It isn't about everyone doing the exact same thing.
It's about creating a way for everyone to participate.

What does it mean to be part of a classroom community?

✅ It means having a role.
✅ It means having a way to contribute.
✅ And it means having a way to communicate, participate, and be heard.

For Analyssa, being part of her classroom community means being the calendar helper. 📅

During this social studies lesson, she used her Tobii Dynavox AAC device to identify the classroom community, communicate the day of the week, determine what day comes next, and help complete the classroom calendar while standing at the Rifton Adaptive Desk.

And then… the lesson changed.

When it was time to check the weather, Analyssa chose to sit on the floor so Gina changed the approach. She brought Analyssa's AAC device down with her, joined her on the floor, and continued the lesson right where Analyssa was.
Together, they looked outside, connected what they were seeing to the weather vocabulary, and Analyssa communicated “cloudy” on her device. ☁️

✨ This is what creating access can look like.

We don't always know exactly how participation will look from one moment to the next. What matters is that we're willing to follow the student, adapt the environment, and keep the learning going.

That's Therapeutic Education. 👉 Change the approach. Create access.

Sammi was thrilled to deliver Kayla her award! 🤩

Kayla earned Team Member of the Month! We appreciate her heart and belief in each and every one of our students and her dedication to our Core Values as one of our Teacher Assistants! 💙

Here’s some facts about Miss Kayla:
📖 Favorite verse - Psalm 46:10: Be still, and know that I am God
💙 What she loves about her job - I love building meaningful relationships with children through play, activities, and everyday interactions. I enjoy getting to know each child’s personality and interests, creating a comfortable environment where they feel safe, supported, and able to be themselves. Being able to connect with kids, make them smile, and be someone they can trust is something I genuinely enjoy.
😊 What she does for fun – I love to spend time with my family, especially my nephews, along with spending time at the beach and working out.

What will accessibility look like when they grow up?

For Cheyne, it looks like having a space of his own.

This wasn't about creating a perfect home. It was about thinking ahead and creating an environment that supports as much independence, choice, and dignity as possible.

Because the children we're advocating for today are growing into adults.

And when we think about accessibility, we shouldn't only ask, "How do we make life work right now?"
We should also be asking, "What kind of life are we helping them build toward?"

Accessibility isn't just about making childhood easier.
It's about creating possibilities for the future.
