We had a busy weekend around here, and it ended with two new faces we can't wait for you to meet. Welcome to the Touch of Grey Rescue family, Koa and Nutella! 🐾
First up is Koa. This little 10-pound guy came to us in rough shape, so severely matted that, heartbreakingly, the matting had cut off circulation and disconnected one of his feet from his ankle.
And yet… you'd never know it from his spirit. Koa is one of the happiest, most trusting boys you'll ever meet. He's active, friendly, gets the zoomies, and comes running for attention every chance he gets. He loves to play, loves to cuddle with his fosters, and clearly has no plans to let anything slow him down. He's proof that these dogs can endure unimaginable hardships and just keep loving anyway.
Then there's sweet Nutella. She came to us after the shelter discovered she had pyometra, a serious and life-threatening infection of the uterus that, left untreated, can quickly become fatal. It's exactly the kind of situation where getting a dog out of the shelter and into care can mean the difference between life and death.
Now that she's safe, Nutella is showing us what a lovebug she is. She wants to be as close to you as she can possibly get, curled up and snuggled in. She's a little more hesitant at first, but earn her trust and you've got the sweetest girl. Her fosters gave her a much-needed bath before taking her home for all the love and snuggles she's been missing.
Two more lives, two more second chances, all because this community keeps showing up. 💛
Koa and Nutella still have some healing ahead, but they're exactly where they need to be now: safe, loved, and finally home.
