A joyful day of praise is coming to the Hill.
The Office of Culture and Community at Hampden-Sydney College and the Robert Russa Moton Museum are bringing neighbors together from across Southside Virginia and beyond for an uplifting afternoon of gospel music, heritage, and fellowship.
This inspiring community gathering will kick off the 100th anniversary of Black History Month, and we are honored to begin this historic celebration with music that has lifted spirits and carried our communities for generations.
We are proud to welcome the award-winning Virginia State University Gospel Chorale, joined by beloved local favorites The Royal Supremes and Longwood Universityβs B.A.S.I.C. Gospel Choir, with more voices, more praise, and special guests throughout the program. It will be an afternoon filled with powerful music and joyful celebration!
A Gospel explosion?
More like a Gospel BOOM!
