Uplift Meeker: Mainstreet Program

10/14/2026

🎄✨ Got Christmas lights you’re not using anymore? Don’t toss them — donate them!

Uplift Meeker is collecting used Christmas lights to help make Main Street shine a little brighter this holiday season. 💡

If you’re cleaning out storage or replacing old decorations, drop your extra lights off at the Meeker Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center and we’ll help give them a new home downtown!

Hey, did you see? 👀 The Pioneers in Paint plaques have officially been installed!

These plaques help give a little more context to the faces featured throughout the project — sharing the stories behind some of the people who helped shape Meeker and the community we know today.

Next time you’re downtown, take a few minutes to stop, look a little closer, and learn more about the history behind the art. 💙

🖤💛 LET’S MAKE MAIN STREET COWBOY! 💛🖤

Homecoming is this Friday, and we want Main Street looking ready to celebrate!

Local businesses are encouraged to deck out their storefronts in black and gold, show off that Meeker pride, and help give the Cowboys a hometown welcome as the Homecoming Parade comes through downtown. 🤠🏈✨

Whether you go all-out or just add a little black and gold, every bit of school spirit helps make Main Street feel festive for the students, families, and community lining the parade route.

Let’s show ‘em how Meeker does Homecoming! 🖤💛

✨ MEET THE UPLIFT MEEKER BOARD! ✨

Next up is Teresia R. Reed, representing the Rio Blanco County Historical Society — and she is definitely not new to the Uplift world. Teresia has been involved for 12 years! 💚

One of the things she loves most about Uplift is seeing our little town benefit from funding and opportunities it might not otherwise have, and her hope for the future is pretty simple: a big group of local businesses supporting and holding each other up. 🙌 Honestly, that’s what Uplift is all about.

And because every board bio needs a plot twist… Teresia’s fun fact? She used to be a correctional officer. 😳 So, you know, behave yourselves at the next Uplift meeting. 😂

We’re lucky to have her years of experience, community knowledge, and support on the board! 🧡💙💚

🎨🎄🎭 MEET THE UPLIFT MEEKER BOARD! 🎭🎄🎨

Say hello to Nathan Miller, representing Rio Blanco County! Nathan may have joined Uplift only about 9 months ago, but he jumped right in because he wanted to be more involved in the community and help make some of Meeker’s big events happen. 🙌

His favorite part? Getting to bring his creative ideas to the table — which makes a lot of sense once you get to his fun facts. Nathan loves drawing, coloring, painting, reading, Christmas, plays AND singing. 😂 Basically, if it involves creativity or Christmas cheer, Nathan is probably already interested.

Looking ahead, he’d love to see Uplift bring even more attention to our downtown businesses and add one more big event to the community calendar. 👀 We certainly won’t argue with that!

Thanks for bringing the creativity, Nathan! 🧡💙💚
