Data centers don’t use water?

The Los Angeles Times reports that offsite water used by electric plants powering data centers is larger than previously thought and could intensify the effects of drought across the country, according to new research from the University of Michigan. Read more on this story here.

Data centers come with significant risks. Loading water systems in addition to using water that is already claimed is part of the challenge.
