Pack 748 is the only Cub Scout pack in Medway, MA, part of the Old Colony Council and the Seven Rivers District. We are chartered by St. Joseph's Parish, also in Medway, MA. While our focus is on providing a fulfilling scouting experience for our boys, we also offer many family-oriented events as well, such as holiday parties, field days, and other family outings. We are fortunate to have lots of

experienced leaders who are very dedicated to making scouting a fun, educational, and rewarding experience for your son and your family. That said, we're always looking for other adult leaders and/or assistants to help bring new life into the Pack! If you're new to the pack, check out the Parents information page, which provides a good overview of the Cub Scouting program, our pack's organization and leadership, the activities we host, etc. As always, please contact our leaders with any questions, comments, or otherwise... we're here to help!

Pinewood Derby Race Schedule For March 7, 2026

11:00- Opening Ceremony
11:20- Arrow of Lights
11:33- Webelos
11:52- Bears
12:03- Pit crew lunch break
12:20- Wolves
12:41- Tigers
1:02- Lions
1:13- Open (siblings and parents)
1:50- Pack Finals

Race times might slip a little but we will not start races early.

The pack will be selling pizza and other food starting around noon. We will be set up to take cash or Venmo.

The top 3 cars in each den will compete in the pack finals at 1:50. There are also design awards that will be decided by the pack. There will be QR codes near the cars so you can see them up close and vote for your favorites.

We're dreaming of a white Blue and Gold Banquet? Join us Saturday for a pasta lunch, a den competition, our Arrow of Light crossover ceremony, and apparently snow! The show will go on. The fun starts at 11:00am at the parish center.

The Blue and Gold Banquet is a core pack activity. All Scouts are encouraged to attend, and siblings and families are always welcome. There is no cost for the event this year.

Scouts and leaders should wear their Class A uniforms or pack t-shirts with rank neckerchiefs.

The pack would like to thank all the Scouts, siblings, parents, and volunteers for their work at the holiday event last Friday.

The pack made 120 total Smiles from Sarah kits.

- 72 pillow case kits will go to kids at Boston Children's Hospital.
- 48 Worry Monster kits will be sent to Children's National Hospital in Washington, D.C.

We are especially grateful for our parent volunteers who stepped up and made sure the kits were put together correctly. This was a group effort and we are really proud of the way the pack responded. Thank you all!

We wish you all the happiest of holidays and we look forward to seeing you next year!

Our December Pack Meeting will be a holiday party. Join us for a potluck dinner, pack service project, and a tasty craft! Siblings and families are welcome.

We need families to:

- Bring your own snowflake to deck the hall.
- Bring your Giving Tree contributions. The food pantry is asking for $25 Walmart gift cards and stocking stuffers. If you would like to participate but can’t make it to the store this week, you may bring cash or checks to the party. The pack will collect money and give it directly to the food pantry. Giving Tree donations are due this Friday.
- Wear something festive or your Class B pack t-shirts. Scouts can leave the uniforms at home. Scouts will next get achievements at the January pack meeting.
