Rainey Jo McCord was a beautiful 25 year old girl. She was a daughter, a sister, a niece, an aunt, a cousin, so many things to a family who absolutely adored her. Rainey loved life, and was always smiling, bringing joy to others lives. Unfortunately, her life came to a tragic end on October 24, 2024. She was at the home of a person whom she thought was a friend of hers. She went inside to use the
bathroom, and hadn't returned after about 20 minutes. When she was found in the bathroom, she was unconscious, naked, and had blood in her mouth/throat. She was taken out of that house, drug through the mud and leaves, to be put in her car and driven to Pinson Exxon gas station. She had a faint heartbeat when the paramedics made it to her, and later passed away. She didn't overdose, she had nothing but THC in her system. The coroner ruled her death was due to a heart condition Rainey has had all of her life. The problem with all of this is, the person whose house she went unconscious in, wouldn't let anyone call 911 to get Rainey any medical help. As a matter of fact, she told the other two people involved that they were to not call 911, and to get her out of her house because if her dad woke up to police or an ambulance there, he would flip out. Had these friends never moved her, drug her body outside, or taken her anywhere; well there's a huge chance that Rainey would still be here with us. Her so called "friends" are most certainly criminally medical negligent. Except that currently in Tennessee, there is no law that says you have to help or call emergency services for them. You can watch them die, and absolutely nothing happen to you legally. So I created this page in her memory, to raise awareness to what happened to Rainey, she deserves justice and her parents deserve answers to their questions and to have peace of mind! Rainey's life was special and she shouldn't have had to suffer at the hands of who she was around. We want to draft a law named Rainey's Law, that states you have to render aid to someone in distress when they need medical attention so that no other family ever has to go through this same tragedy. Rainey's Law could potentially save countless innocent lives and her memory can live on through those people that she could save and in her families hearts! If you have any information pertaining to the case, or what happened to Rainey before she was unconscious and taken out of the house she was inside, please reach out to this page or the authorities!
