A community foundation brings donors, nonprofits, community leaders, and charitable resources together to address local needs and create lasting impact.
The Medina County Community Foundation does exactly that. Helping connect generosity with the people, organizations, and causes that make Medina County stronger.
For donors and their advisors: The Community Foundation helps individuals and families organize their charitable giving, maximize tax benefits, and supports the causes they care aboutโ€”with guidance from a team of professionals.

For local charities: The Community Foundation connects nonprofits with philanthropists, helps grow charitable endowments, and brings people together to strengthen the quality of life throughout our community.
Two important funds within the foundation are the Medina County Community Foundation Board Discretionary Fund and the Medina County Womenโ€™s Endowment Fund.

A legacy isnโ€™t simply what you leave behind. Itโ€™s what continues because you were here.

Nobby Lewandowski understood the power of generosity and the difference that can be made when we choose to invest in others. As a founder of the Medina County Community Fund, which has grown into todayโ€™s Medina County Community Foundation, Nobby helped plant a seed that continues to grow throughout our community.

Every grant awarded, every nonprofit strengthened, and every Medina County resident impacted by this work is connected in some way to the generosity, kindness, and vision of those who started it all.

Nobbyโ€™s legacy is woven into the work we do today and the work that will continue long into the future. What an incredible reminder that when we give generously to our community, the impact can extend far beyond our own lifetime.

We are deeply grateful for Nobby Lewandowski and the legacy of philanthropy he leaves behind. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to Nobbyโ€™s family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by his generosity and friendship.

Dan is deeply invested in the Medina County community and has spent years serving local organizations, including the Greater Medina Chamber of Commerce, Habitat for Humanity of Medina County, and United Way of Wayne and Holmes Counties. As an attorney and business advisor, Dan brings valuable experience in real estate, business transactions, succession planning, and organizational development to the Foundation. But his commitment to the community goes well beyond his professional work. Dan and his wife, Lauren, live in Medina with their two children and miniature goldendoodle. When he's not working or serving the community, you'll find him enjoying golf, spending time with family, cheering on Ohio State and Cleveland sports, or embracing his love of all things Disney. ๐Ÿ’š

๐Ÿ’š What does community impact look like?
Sometimes, it looks like a scholarship helping a student pursue their dreams. Sometimes, it means emergency assistance for a family facing an unexpected challenge. Sometimes it brings art, music, new opportunities and connections to people throughout Medina County. And sometimes, it starts with one person simply deciding to give.

Thatโ€™s the power of philanthropy. Thatโ€™s the power of a Community Foundation. At the Medina County Community Foundation, we believe generosity has the power to create meaningful, long-lasting change, and weโ€™re excited to share more about the impact happening right here in Medina County soon. ๐Ÿ‘€

His legacy and impact in service to the community throughout his lifetime was significant. In his time with MCCF, Alan was a champion for the mission, believing in the collective good that philanthropy inspires and the power it can bring to those it impacts. He helped move this organization forward in every conversation he had and coffee he shared. We know he had great plans to help establish this young foundation into a lasting and meaningful hub for good. We will do everything we can as a board and organization to honor his vision and continue his work.
