Meet ๐‰๐จ๐ง ๐๐š๐ซ๐ค, Corporate Director, Business Advisor, and retired Chairman and CEO of Westfield Bank, who has served on the Medina County Community Foundation Board of Directors since January 2024.

A Medina resident for 25 years, Jon is passionate about helping businesses grow revenue, optimize talent, perpetuate leadership, improve profitability, and create shareholder value. Jon is currently a director on 3 corporate boards and 2 private equity advisory boards. Jon was Westfield Bankโ€™s founding CEO from 2000 through his retirement in 2023 where he developed and guided Westfield Bank's strategies that took the Company from a start-up to $2.1 billion in assets becoming Ohioโ€™s 10th largest of 172 community banks.

Meet Barbara J. Dzur, City of Medina Economic Development and Marketing Manager, and a valued member of the Medina County Community Foundation Board of Trustees.

Barbara grew up in Medina County and returned to the area to raise her daughter. Through her work in education, business, and government, she has remained deeply committed to giving back to the community through volunteer leadership and nonprofit involvement.

Having served on the Board when the Medina County Community Fund was an affiliate of another foundation, Barbara says it has been especially rewarding to watch MCCF grow into a stand-alone Foundation where one can invest and be assured that all investment stays in Medina County and gives back to its residents.

Weโ€™re proud to support organizations making a meaningful difference across Medina County. ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ’š

Last year, Feeding Medina County received a grant from the Medina County Community Foundation to support its Weekender Bags for Children program, which provides food assistance to more than 1,000 children in Medina County each week, year-round.

Be sure to support their upcoming Plant Sale on May 30 and help continue the incredible work they do for families throughout our community. ๐ŸŒผ
