Next Step Up has served 285 people needing a place to stay since we opened in February 2025. And we couldn’t have done it without the support of generous donors who have provided funds to help us provide a safe place, purchase toiletries for our Guests, buy books and toys for the children who are staying with us and so much more.

Myth: People experiencing homelessness just need to work harder.

Fact: Many people experiencing homelessness are employed or actively looking for work. Rising housing costs, unexpected medical bills, job loss and other life events can quickly lead to housing instability.

Every person's story is different, and compassion makes a difference. 💙

As summer winds down, extreme heat can still be dangerous. Even on cooler days, dehydration and heat-related illness remain a risk, especially for older adults, young children and people experiencing homelessness.

💧 Stay hydrated, seek shade when possible and check in on neighbors or loved ones who may need extra support.

Small acts of care can make a big difference. 💙
