MYTH: Homelessness only happens to people who have been struggling for a long time.

FACT: A job loss, unexpected expense, family crisis or other major life change can quickly put someone at risk of losing their housing.

Next Step Up provides shelter and support to help Guests work toward stable housing.

Today was a big day for Medina County!

MMHA celebrated the ribbon cutting for The Lafayette, a new supportive housing community for individuals facing housing crises. Residents have already been approved for 10 of the 11 apartments and will be moving in soon.

The Lafayette provides more than a place to live. Residents will have access to supportive services designed to help them maintain stable housing and move forward.

This milestone shows just how great the need for supportive housing continues to be in Medina County. We are excited to see The Lafayette open its doors and provide residents with a safe, stable place to call home.
