🌟 Help Us Bring More Hands-On Learning to Our Classrooms! 🌟

What if a piece of cardboard could become a bridge, a marble maze, or a child's next great invention? What if a well-loved classroom material could continue inspiring curiosity and discovery for years to come?

At Around the Sun Montessori, some of the most meaningful learning happens when children can touch, explore, create, experiment, and discover for themselves. Our PTO has an opportunity to make a lasting impact by helping provide the materials that make these experiences possible!

This year, we're fundraising for TWO important classroom investments:

🛠️ CHOMPSAWS — $1,300

Imagine the possibilities! ChompSaws allow children to transform ordinary cardboard into incredible creations, bringing their ideas to life through hands-on problem-solving, creativity, and engineering. This classroom bundle will support students in BOTH our Primary and Elementary classrooms.

🌎 WOODEN MONTESSORI PUZZLE MAPS — $1,152

Our Primary classroom's current puzzle maps have been well-loved and need replacing. This beautiful set of eight wooden maps helps children explore geography, recognize continents and countries, and build a foundation for understanding the world around them.

💛 WHY YOUR DONATION MATTERS

Montessori materials are thoughtfully designed to support children's development, but they can also be a significant investment. From replacing worn materials to introducing new learning opportunities, PTO fundraising helps us provide quality classroom resources while working to keep tuition costs down for our families.

Every donation brings us one step closer to our goal! Whether you give $10, $25, $50, or whatever amount works for your family, your contribution helps create meaningful learning experiences for our children.

We invite you to our upcoming Fall Festival and Chili Cook Off on Saturday, October 10th at 3pm. Bring the whole family for an afternoon of fun! In addition to the chili cook off, kids will be able to participate in a costume contest and pumpkin derby and decorate coffee sleeves for Cool Beans Cafe. There will also be a photo op to get those fall family photos.

If you would like to enter your award winning chili into the chili cook off, the entry fee is $15 and includes a tasting ticket. We ask that you register for Saturday, October 3rd so we can plan accordingly for supplies.

Not a chef? Not a problem. You can purchase a tasting ticket for $8 that includes tasting cups of all entries, a bowl for your favorite chili, water, and a ballot to cast your vote for your favorite recipe.

Additional bowls, water, apple c***r, and popcorn will be available for purchase.

🌱📚 Welcome Back, Elementary! 📚🌱

The classroom is ready, the shelves are prepared, and we’re excited to welcome our Elementary students back for another year of Montessori learning!

A new school year means new questions, new discoveries, new challenges, and plenty of opportunities to grow. We can’t wait to watch our students reconnect with friends, settle into their work, and continue developing the independence, confidence, and curiosity that make Montessori so special.

Here’s to a wonderful year of exploration, collaboration, and joyful learning! ✨

🎡🇺🇸 We're Headed to the Medina County Fair! 🇺🇸🎡

Be sure to stop by and visit Around the Sun Montessori School at the Medina County Fair!

This year, we are celebrating America's 250th Birthday with a special display that highlights the creativity, independence, and hands-on learning that are at the heart of Montessori education. From student work to patriotic decor, this project showcases what our children can accomplish when they're given the opportunity to learn by doing.

Be sure to pop in to the community center to check out the school display (we'll be there Tuesday from 4-7 pm) and make your way to Gate 4 (Smith Rd. entrance) to see our PTO's patriotic hay bale!

We can't wait to share our school with the Medina County community!
