We have exciting news to share! 🎉

As we look ahead to the future of Project: LEARN of Medina County, we’re thrilled to announce that Julie Alexander has been named our new Executive Director.
Julie has been an active volunteer with the Project: LEARN community for nearly three years, most recently serving as Vice President of the Board of Directors. Her passion for our mission and her leadership have already made a strong impact—and we can’t wait to see what’s ahead.

With experience in education, program development, and building strong partnerships—including leading initiatives that expanded access and strengthened community partnerships—Julie brings both heart and expertise to this role.
As a former educator, she understands the power of literacy—how it opens doors, builds confidence, and creates life-changing opportunities.

“Project: LEARN comes from strong roots. For over 40 years, we have been changing lives by giving adults a second chance through literacy education. It is both a joy and a privilege to help others walk that path. I am honored for this opportunity and excited for this next chapter and the continued impact we’ll make together in Medina County.”

Please join us in congratulating and welcoming Julie! 💙

Education changes everything!

Adult education leads to a pathway for economic opportunity.
🚀 When adults gain stronger skills and earn credentials, they can get better jobs and earn higher wages—helping break cycles of economic inequality for themselves and their families.
⭐ Investing in adult education is investing in a stronger future for all of us.

Thank you to First Financial Bank in Wadsworth for their generous $1,000 support of Project: LEARN of Medina County.

This gift directly impacts the adults we serve—individuals working to strengthen their literacy skills, earn their GED, and build brighter futures for themselves and their families.

While visiting their beautiful new location, We noticed a sign that reads, “We believe in Wadsworth.” At Project: LEARN of Medina County, we do too—and we’re proud to partner with organizations that share that same commitment to community.

Thank you, First Financial, for your support and belief in the work we do in Medina County!
