💖 Welcome to Treasure’s Love Bears 💖
Treasure was born at 27 weeks weighing just 3 lbs. 12 oz., facing life-threatening medical challenges from the very beginning. Months later, while fighting for her life at LeBonheur Children's Medical Center, her closest companion was a beautiful pink teddy bear wrapped in plastic — a gift from her grandparents Willie and Whirllie Byrd.
That simple bear brought comfort during some of her hardest days.
From that experience, Treasure’s Love Bears was born.
Every Valentine’s Day, we distribute teddy bears to hospitalized children as a way to pay it forward and thank the caregivers who serve them so faithfully. What began as one little girl’s comfort has grown into a mission of compassion and hope. This year we celebrated Treasure’s 21st Annual Love Day!
✨ We are currently serving two hospitals and are eager to expand.
Treasure’s Love Bears is a 501(c)(3) charitable fund of the Community Foundation. All gifts are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
