We did it again! On a chilly Saturday morning, this time at the Plunkett's Pest Control Facility in Fridley, Minnesota, Girl Scouts River Valleys and Professional Women in Pest Management of Minnesota (PWIPM-MN) joined forces to bring STEM career exploration to life for 5th to 8th-grade girls. This groundbreaking event, held on April 20th, 2024, was filled with hands-on activities and immersive experiences designed to introduce the Scouts to various roles within the pest management field, the Scouts divided into groups, and delved into three key areas: Entomology, Technician, and Regulatory Affairs.

In a first of its kind collaboration that blends education, empowerment, and hands-on exploration, The Minnesota Chapter of Professional Women in Pest Management (PWIPM-MN) joined forces with Girl Scouts River Valley for a groundbreaking initiative. Fifty 2nd and 3rd grade Girl Scouts converged at the Ecolab Schuman Campus in Eagan, on January 6, 2024, for an extraordinary experience aimed at earning their Brownie Bug Badge. This innovative collaboration was made possible through the generous sponsorship of PWIPM-MN and the financial support from industry leaders in Minnesota.
Adam's Pest Control, Plunkett's Pest Control, and Ecolab joined forces and demonstrated their commitment to education and community engagement by contributing to an event that goes beyond traditional boundaries. This event showcased the potential for industry partnerships to inspire and educate the next generation of women in STEM related careers and featured a wide representation of women in the industry, including Owners, Scientists, Administration, Human Resources, Technicians and many more!
