Yesterday we packed hygiene bags for some of the most vulnerable members of our community—because everyone deserves to feel clean, cared for, and seen.

These bags may seem small, but they hold essentials that can make a world of difference: shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, and most importantly—hope.

It’s easy to take these daily basics for granted, but for someone struggling, they’re a lifeline.

Gobble Gobble!!!
We are so excited and happy to announce that The BFF Turkey Drive is BACK!!! The last few years with the pandemic forced us to pivot a little with this fundraiser, which we did and still successfully provided for our communities vulnerable families! BUT, it’s time to get back to doing what we know and love! With every $15 donation the Foundation with match that 5x. Our goal is to feed 800 families over the long Holiday weekend. ⁣A little “Bagtoberfest” fun!! ⠀

The BFF has had the pleasure of partnering with the Bellevue School District and Jubilee Reach for many years now. We were thrilled to spotlight these two groups at our annual Co****le Tournament. ⠀

It was a very successful event with lots of laughs! The money raised this year went to support the snack program that The BFF has piloted this year and the Jubilee families experiencing food insecurities. As always, we are so incredibly grateful for the support from our friends and family that step up and help our most vulnerable. Thank you to all who participated this year, so much fun!!!

We have been busy this year catching up with some of the organizations that we partner with. Because of COVID it has been hard to see these places in person. The Bridge Receiving Center is an organization that we partnered with when it was just a vision, an idea. It has been amazing to watch this vision come to life. “Bridge” is a healing start for kids who are entering the foster care system for the very first time. Often children entering the system are subject to the first week, or more, spent in between the social workers office and motel stays until a placement is found, which is often temporary with many more to follow. BRC is changing that. They call it a “soft landing”. It is a safe place for them to land while the adults are figuring out the next steps. It’s a safe place for them to land while decompressing from the trauma they have been pulled from. It is a safe place to land to be a kid and to be taken care of while the proper placement is established. The BFF has been honored to partner with Bridge Receiving Center. They truly are amazing and are doing such powerful work for our communities most vulnerable kids.

Gobble, Gobble 2021. Ok, it’s that time of year again, and we need your help. We are committed to supporting 750 families, the most ever in a single year! Please help us support these families in our community over the long weekend. We will be providing these families with grocery gift cards in the amount of $50. Any and all support from you will go directly to these families that need it the most. Over the years, thanks to the help of our amazing friends and family, we have been able to serve 10,000 families in need. You help make a difference. Let’s do it again this year! Together we can make this “Turkey Drive” the most successful and meaningful one to date.

We have been working closely with the BSD and the Family Connections Centers (FCC) for several years. The staff on this team are working hard to ensure students have their needs met so that they are positioned for success in school and in life. They often work at night and on the weekends to be sure students and their families are served. The BSD and the community are very fortunate to have them. We had a chance to show this team a little love and appreciation for all of their hard work. The kids, the schools, and the community are very lucky to have the dedication of these amazing people. The BFF is happy to support their ongoing efforts.
