👥 Why a Human Capital Strategy Matters 👥

For small and midsize businesses, people are the driving force behind long-term success. But too often, businesses focus on operations and growth while overlooking a clear strategy for recruiting, developing, and retaining talent.

In the latest Chamber magazine, Zack Pittman of iCOR Solutions shares why investing in people is a business strategy — not just an HR function.

Key areas highlighted include:
✔️ Talent acquisition
✔️ Leadership development
✔️ Employee engagement & retention
✔️ Workforce development & training
✔️ Building a strong company culture

A thoughtful human capital strategy can lead to stronger performance, lower turnover, and a more resilient organization.

Because when businesses prioritize people, growth follows. 📈

Relationships and community were at the heart of this week's Chamber activities! 👏

🤝 We were honored to host the Medina County Senior Services Network for their monthly meeting. This collaborative group brings together organizations and professionals dedicated to serving older adults throughout Medina County, and we're proud to be a member and partner in their efforts.

📈 We hosted the first Raising the Bar session of the year, featuring Don Hicks, Senior Business Consultant with Vensure Employer Solutions. Don led an engaging discussion on how AI and automation are transforming the workplace, from recruiting and onboarding to employee engagement and performance management. Attendees walked away with practical insights into how technology can help businesses work smarter and adapt to the future of work.

🍻 We gathered at Business Brew at Lager Heads Brewing Company for another evening of networking and connection. The temperatures may have been high, but so was the energy in the room! Thank you to everyone who joined us for great conversations and new connections.

🍕 And while we're talking about Lager Heads... if you haven't tried their pizza yet, consider this your sign. It's worth the trip!

Another week of bringing people together, sharing ideas, and strengthening our business community.

📱 Social Media Made Simple 📱

Feeling overwhelmed by social media? You’re not alone — and the good news is, it doesn’t have to be complicated to be effective.

In the latest Chamber magazine, Kristen McShane of Simply Social Kristen shares practical advice for small businesses looking to build trust, stay visible, and create meaningful connections online.

Some key takeaways:
✔️ You don’t need to be on every platform
✔️ Consistency matters more than perfection
✔️ Focus on content that educates, connects, and promotes
✔️ People connect with PEOPLE — not overly polished brands

Simple. Strategic. Sustainable. 💡
