Our ScoutMaster Jeff Holub received the Soaring Eagle award of Scoutmaster of the year award!!! We are so fortunate to have him working with our kids.

Hinkley Buzzard Day!!! Educated the public on tick’s.

Quote of the weekend “Mr. Holub I think I used the wrong side of the pepper shaker. It should be fine.” Yep he did. Our chili was the most spicy chili we have made. Strong pepper flavor!!!

Hinkley Bicentennial!! Troop 511 combined with Troop 407. They made the monkey bridge. Over 100 people crossed including a 70 year old man that wanted to live life! They brought joy to all that they saw. They were carrying flags in the parade too!!

Hinkley Buzzard Day 2025!! This is an event Scouts do yearly. We build a monkey bridge for anyone willing walk the high ropes. Talk with people from our area about how Scouts in a part of our community. This year since the Scouts worked on an anti-smoking campaign they held those signs for everyone to see.

It is a fun time every year! We look forward to going next year

Our troop braved the cold weather at Klondike this past weekend. Scouts who lead were put to the test and some really great stories came out about their leadership. It is easy to be a leader when things are going well but it is the character of the leader who holds a team together when things are tough. Very proud to hear that they did not give up but continued to encourage each other. Our troop did the great compared to other troops on their knots.

Scout Sunday is a celebration that recognizes the contributions of Scouts and adults to Scouting, and to raise awareness of Scouting in religious communities. It's also an opportunity for Scouts to demonstrate their "Duty to God”.

Troop 511 had 10 scout go above and beyond and earned their religious emblem today!! They each received a metal and the only knot patch for their age. Good job Scouts!!
