Our 2025 Annual Report is here—and it’s more than numbers on a page. It’s 365 days of second chances, resilience, and lives changed because people like you chose to care.

Inside, you’ll find the stories behind the work—the challenges we faced, the victories we celebrated, and the foxes who remind us every day why this mission matters. From emergency rescues to long-term care, every chapter reflects the impact of a community that refuses to look away.

If you’ve ever wondered where your support goes or what it truly makes possible, this is your moment to see it all come together.

🚨 BREAKING FOX NEWS 🚨

We regret to inform you that Punxsutawney Phil popped out at Gobbler’s K**b, saw his shadow, and sentenced us all to six more weeks of winter.

Bandit's official response?
🦊 FORGET GROUNDHOG DAY. IT’S A SCAM.

Around here, we celebrate FOXSHADOW DAY — where fluffy professionals with zero top hats, and much better hair deliver weather predictions based on ✨vibes✨, snacks, and pure chaos.

Bandit has spoken.
Groundhogs can't touch the lawn either!
Winter is canceled.
Phil is on notice.

One of the things we’re most proud of at the sanctuary is our volunteer community.

It’s a genuinely good group of people — kind, reliable, supportive, and deeply invested in doing things the right way. There’s laughter here. Learning. Teamwork. And a shared love for animals who deserve a second chance.

Our volunteers come from all walks of life — full-time jobs, families, busy schedules — and they give what they can, when they can. That balance matters to us.

As the sanctuary grows, we’re excited to welcome more people into this culture. More volunteers means lighter schedules, more flexibility, and even more opportunities to help animals in meaningful ways.

Volunteering here isn’t about being overworked or overwhelmed.
It’s about being part of a well-supported team where every contribution counts — whether that’s a few hours a month or a regular shift.

If you’ve been curious about sanctuary life, animal welfare, or just want to do something that feels genuinely rewarding, we’d love to meet you.

Come join a community that cares — about the animals and the people who show up for them. 🦊🖤

This is the part of sanctuary work no one prepares you for.
Not the feedings.
Not the cleaning.
Not the sleepless nights.
It’s standing at a crossroads, forced to decide who gets to live safely… and who doesn’t yet.
Every intake request is a life.
A fox was already born into captivity.
Already failed.
Already out of time.
And then comes the math that makes you sick to your stomach:
How much money is in the account?
How many volunteers can realistically show up?
How much space exists without breaking the ones already here?
There is no good answer.
There is only less terrible.
Every “no” feels like a betrayal.
Like we’re abandoning someone who needed us to be better, faster, bigger, richer.
But sanctuaries don’t run on love alone.
Love doesn’t pay vet bills.
Love doesn’t build enclosures.
Love doesn’t stretch exhausted bodies or empty bank accounts.
So we carry the weight.
We replay the messages.
We wonder if we made the wrong call.
We lie awake knowing that choosing sustainability for one animal can mean suffering for another.
This is the emotional toll people don’t see.
This is the cost of caring when the need will always outpace the help.
If this post makes you uncomfortable — good!
Because discomfort is where change starts.
Supporting a sanctuary isn’t charity.
It’s deciding how many lives get a “yes” instead of a goodbye.
And those decisions never stop hurting. 🖤🦊
