Yesterday, Family Support Line, Senator John Kane , and Media Arts Council invited friends and family to view and celebrate the beautiful art work by a variety of artists!

Thank you to Senator Kane for making this happen for Family Support Line! We are honored to have these artists design and create paintings that would flow through the office in spaces that would calm, inspire, and spark the imagination of the children and families we serve!

School is back in session next week, let’s make sure to keep the kiddos safe!

Next week everyone's social media feeds will be filled with the traditional First Day of School photos, we love to see your little ones excited, and the older ones (a little less excited) for schools to start. But parents, let’s remember that no matter how private your profile is this is still the internet and you are putting information about your child out there.

Keep the details vague and to a minimum:

DO make sure your profiles have strong privacy settings
DON’T include child or teacher’s name
DON’T include the name of the school or location
AVOID identifying details in photo, such as:
-bus number
-identifying landmarks
-yard signs or car stickers identifying the school’s name
DO save the more detailed photos for personal memories and scrapbooks
DO make sure your kids smile big and have a safe and fun school year!

The families and children who come to Family Support Line are often in various phases of starting over. We try to make sure every child leaves feeling supported and on a healing pathway. Sometimes it takes a little extra to get them started on that path, so we have added duffle bags to our Amazon Wishlist for cases such as this.

Our friends from Bank of America came back today with the rest of the 600 stuffed animals they donated. Thank you so much to Bank of America and their volunteers for all your support! We can never express how much the work you do for our communities means.

Join Family Support Line and Senator John Kane as we reveal the amazing new mural painted by artist from the Media Arts Council. It was important to us that the new artwork in our family spaces captured the imagination of the children we work with. These colorful and inspired works of art aim to create a calm and soothing environment in a situation that can often feel scary and tense.
