This Memorial Day, we pause to remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. Their sacrifice purchased the freedoms we enjoy every day, and we must never forget the cost of that freedom. 🇺🇸

One of the most powerful reminders of that sacrifice comes from the poem In Flanders Fields by John McCrae. Written during World War I, its words still echo through generations:

“To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.”

At The Infinite Mission, we strive to carry that torch by serving and supporting our local veterans — especially those who are homebound, struggling, or in need. This Memorial Day, we honor not only the fallen, but also the enduring responsibility we all share to care for those who served.

May we never forget their courage, their sacrifice, and the families who continue to carry their memory.

This Memorial Day Weekend, The Infinite Mission honors the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. 🇺🇸

This weekend, we remember the heroes who never made it home and the families who carry their legacy forward each day. Their courage, service, and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

As veterans serving veterans through Operation Serve Our Heroes, we are reminded that freedom is never free.

Today, during Operation Serve Our Heroes, our incredible volunteers came together and bagged 120 bags of groceries in just 37 minutes — a new record for our team!

We are beyond grateful for the dedication, energy, and compassion of every volunteer who showed up to support our local veterans. Because of you, homebound and food-insecure veterans throughout our community will receive the support they deserve.

Thank you for continuing to stand beside those who served our country. 🇺🇸

Today on Armed Forces Day, we are especially grateful for the incredible veterans who volunteered their time with Operation Serve Our Heroes. 🇺🇸

This photo represents service that never ends. These men answered the call to serve our country, and today they continue that mission by serving fellow veterans in our community through compassion, fellowship, and action.

Because of volunteers like these, homebound and food-insecure veterans throughout our region are reminded that they are not forgotten.

Thank you to the dedicated volunteers from St. Matthew’s Veterans Ministry and The Infinite Mission for living out what Armed Forces Day is truly about — service above self.

We honor all who have worn the uniform and continue to serve others long after their military service ends.

We’re incredibly grateful to Penn Medicine for their support of our mission 🇺🇸

Through the Penn Medicine CAREs Grant, Operation Serve Our Heroes—a program of The Infinite Mission—has been awarded a $1,500 donation, made possible by the nomination of our volunteer coordinator Elaine DiMaio.

This funding helps us continue delivering groceries directly to homebound veterans across Southeastern Pennsylvania—many of whom are seniors, disabled, and without support systems.

It’s partnerships like this that make our work possible. Thank you, Penn Medicine, for investing in the health and well-being of those who served our country.

🇺🇸 A reminder of why we do what we do 🇺🇸

Earlier today, our director, Michael DiMaio received a phone call from one of the Veterans we serve.

He shared that “he was about to make two tuna melt sandwiches—his favorite—and said the only reason he has food to eat right now is because of The Infinite Mission.

It’s the end of the month. It’s been a difficult few months trying to pay the bills. And he simply wanted to say thank you… for showing up, month after month.”

This Veteran is a senior citizen, confined to a wheelchair, with no family to support him.

Moments like this are a powerful reminder of why we are so committed to our mission.

Supporting our community of Veterans—because no one who served our country should go hungry. 🇺🇸

The truth is: there are incredible opportunities available at little to no cost, including retreats, family experiences, and wellness programs.

Every grocery delivery, every volunteer hour, every donated item is an act of dignity and respect for our veterans. Community is the force that turns compassion into action.
