Fire restrictions rescinded on the Klamath National Forest
Recent weather has reduced fire danger across the Klamath National Forest, and fire restrictions have been rescinded.

But fire season isn’t over. Wildfires can still happen, and we all have a role in preventing them.

A California Campfire Permit is required for campfires, stoves and barbecues outside developed campgrounds. The permit is free and available online at California Campfire Permit https://www.readyforwildfire.org/permits at any USDA Forest Service office.

Effective at 12:01 September 26, 2026, we are moving to MODERATE fire danger, and Industrial Fire Precautionary Level 1.

Public use fire restrictions remain unchanged.
