Meet our Concert Guide ✨

J. Andrés Ballesteros is a Boston-based composer, teaching artist, and community leader whose work brings together music, storytelling, and social impact.

Praised for his “versatility of style and memorable hooks” (Boston Musical Intelligencer), Andrés creates music that blends classical traditions with diverse genres and lived experiences. His projects often center voices of youth and communities—exploring themes like immigration, climate, and identity.

Beyond composing, Andrés is a passionate advocate for equity and representation in the arts. He has collaborated with organizations like the Boston Symphony Orchestra and White Snake Projects, and his work has been recognized nationally, including being named a Boston Latino 30 Under 30 honoree.

As a teaching artist, he has led workshops at Harvard University, Boston Arts Academy, and community organizations across the U.S., always focusing on connection, creativity, and inclusion.

At Artysh Lab, Andrés guides families through the concert experience—helping create a space where music becomes something to explore, feel, and share together.

Meet the Artists 🎶

Milos Bjelica – Clarinet
Boston-based clarinetist and educator with over 25 years of experience, Milos is dedicated to making classical music accessible, engaging, and meaningful for all audiences. Through his work with Artysh Lab, he creates interactive concert experiences designed especially for babies, young children, and families, encouraging deep listening, curiosity, and joy in music from the earliest age.

Nan Ni – Piano
Described as a “confident, powerful, and articulate interpreter,” Nan Ni is an award-winning pianist who has performed across Asia, Europe, and the United States. A first-prize winner of the Fou Ts’ong International Concerto Competition, she is known for her expressive depth and refined sound. Nan is currently pursuing her Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the New England Conservatory.
