We’re doing it again! Walkling Court, a state elderly/disabled site, will soon be redeveloped. The existing 144 units will be demolished and replaced with 238 units for both elderly/disabled and families in two phases. Construction is anticipated to begin in September or October. Follow along for updates on this exciting project!

One of the goals of the redevelopment of the Saltonstall building was to provide gathering spaces for people to come together to help prevent isolation and loneliness. The Saltonstall building’s library, media room, arts & crafts room, an exercise room, and an outdoor terrace were thoughtfully designed with the needs of the elderly and disabled in mind.

The Medford Housing Authority is excited to announce that construction on the Saltonstall Building is complete! Over the past month, final touches were made, such as landscaping and outdoor signage. The MHA would like to thank all who were involved in making this endeavor possible.

Calling all youth artists! Youth ages 5-18 who live in MHA owned housing or participate in our Housing Choice Voucher program can enter the What Home Means To Me Poster Contest. The MHA will be having an internal contest with prizes. Winners will have the opportunity to be entered into state- and national-level contests. Visit your housing manager's office to pick up an application. Posters are due by May 8, 2026.
