Does women’s empowerment and working with children interest you? If you said yes to either, then Tufts Strong Women Strong Girls (SWSG) is the club for you! SWSG is looking for mentors to lead weekly sessions with girls in nearby elementary schools and community centers. Each week, you will be empowering these 3rd to 5th grade girls through character building and fun activities while also providing them with strong role models! Through working closely with other Tufts mentors, you will gain leadership experience, develop close relationships, and gain a group of strong women to rely on. SWSG focuses on community, empowerment, and embraces anti-racist and anti-oppressive ideals.

Our application is now live, and applications are due **January 17th by 11:59pm**

The Somerville Education Foundation is looking for COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS for their third annual fundraising campaign for summer learning scholarships for Somerville children. They are looking to close the opportunity gap for their kids. Some kids have access to their local high-quality enrichment programs that specialize in STEM, theater arts, media production, parkour and more but others don't, as families cannot afford the weekly fees for these programs. Their summer learning campaign helps their local camps to enroll children despite their financial circumstances. We know the importance of summer enrichment experiences! Check out their website for more information. Volunteer with them and you’ll gain experience in community fundraising and meet great people! For more details about how you can help, how much of a commitment is need, please email: [email protected]
