Box 52 Association

Box 52 Association Box 52 Association is the Nation's oldest Fire Buffing Club founded in 1912. Meetings are held on the 3rd Friday of each month September through May.

Box 52 was the fire alarm signal sounded for the Great Boston Fire of November 9th and 10th 1872. Box 52 Association was founded in 1912 and incorporated in 1918. The Box 52 Association was organized to promte fire prevention and extinguisment in Metropolitan Boston.

Last night Boston had a 3rd alarm on box 1862 for 18 Treadway St. During the fire a MAYDAY was called for a firefighter suffered injuries after a fall. He was rushed to the Boston Medical Center with a police es**rt. He succumbed to his injuries.

Smoke plume extends 4,000 ft up. Mutual aid comps responding with an hour eta. Much radio traffic. Live audio on broadcasitfy under Kennebec, Waldo counties.
